Georgia Highlights

Reflecting on my captivating 2000-mile journey across Georgia, the first things I recall is the extraordinary mountain scenery, the treacherous roads leading up to the high Caucasus peaks, and the enticing aroma of freshly baked khachapuri. Georgia boasts a rich tapestry of history, spanning over 8000 years, encompassing the origins of winemaking, medieval villages, and the transition from the Soviet era. The architectural diversity is a sight to behold: the ancient cave dwellings, the medieval tower houses, the traditional wooden Georgian buildings, the imposing structures of the Soviet era, and the cutting-edge modernity found in Batumi, a vibrant city on the Black Sea.

Whether immersed in the vibrant pulse of Tbilisi or venturing into the secluded mountain towns, I was met with open arms by the warm and hospitable locals.
